Success Metrics

Equal Access’ cost-effective media and outreach programs have made a positive impact on millions of people in some of the least developed countries of the world. Below are the key metrics for Equal Access’ achievements through 2011.

Original Hours of Content Produced
More than 1,700 hours of original content created. When broadcast, performed and distributed in tandem with thousands of hours of training and direct community engagement activities, broader and deeper impact is achieved and sustained.

Person Days of Training Delivered
More than 43,000 person-days of training delivered.

Broadcast Audience Reach
Our broadcast reach expanded to more than 91 million across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

For less than 10 cents a year per listener…in rural Nepal, where Internet access is limited or nonexistent, 6.3 million youth, including many who would otherwise be entirely isolated in their villages, listen loyally every week to Equal Access’ youth chat radio program “Chatting with My Best Friend”.

In measuring our impact on our beneficiaries we focus on whether we have improved people’s knowledge, changed their attitudes to an issue or even influenced them to behave in a different way. Click here to learn more about our Impact Assessment.
