Content Outreach Assessment
Our Methodology
An interactive, collaborative, 3-team approach

Our programs provide critical, engaging and readily usable information and education to underserved communities. We do this by combining technology with a unique, collaborative methodology comprised of three project implementation teams.

The key to our approach is a methodology that works through a ground-up process with communities to not only identify their needs, but to ensure those needs are met by community-driven solutions.

Three team approach
Once we have conducted the project creation process we form the teams that will work together and with local communities on the project.

  • Content Team: Comprised of local content production groups, this team identifies important subjects for inclusion in our programs and produces information and education programs in entertaining and engaging formats.
  • Outreach Team: Comprised of non-government organizations (NGOs) and other local community organizations, chosen for their depth of experience in providing real values for the communities they serve. This team works directly with communities, establishes listening groups around the audio broadcasts and facilitates discussion groups & local participation.
  • Assessment and Monitoring Team: A partnership between local and international monitoring groups, this team measures project impact and ensures that the programs remain responsive to community feedback.

The teams can be conceptualized as three intersecting circles. Each circle is self-contained and performs a specific task. Yet all these tasks are interrelated, and the interconnected nature of this approach helps to increase the effectiveness of the project and to catalyze change. This innovative 3-team approach allows partnership between local and international partners ensuring the best use of expertise.

Project Creation Process: Identifying the community information needs.
Determining the most effective ways of providing this information to our constituents (including program formats, broadcast times, etc.).
Recruiting content production and content broadcast partners.
Partnering with local community organizations to form listening groups.
Creating feedback channels so that communities can provide feedback to improve the programs.
Establishing an independent assessment mechanism to ensure program effectiveness.
The impact of the programs produced by the Content Team is maximized by the listening circles convened by the Outreach Team; the community feedback from the listening groups is fed back to the Content Team by the Assessment Team. Together these teams combine their efforts to enable change.

The impact of the locally produced, local language programming is maximized by the outreach efforts of community groups. As a result, the content has the potential to achieve real impact in each location. This is a critical aspect of our methodology as it ensures local direction of project planning and operations, as well as support at the community level. From words to action.our methodology is our vision in practice.
