Kavita, a deep spirited young woman, recently trained as a community reporter, shared her aspirations by composing and singing an original puja. “We love our traditional songs. Garhwali women used to go to the forest to sing before work. They put their very innermost prayers into their songs to keep our community thriving. We have these songs in our blood and in our hearts and now with community radio we can broadcast them to all the people.”
