Irfan Younas

Country Director , Pakistan

With 12 years of experience managing social behavior change communications projects, including during the massive 2005 earthquake in Kashmir, Irfan Younas has a proven track record of building highly effective peacebuilding and inclusion programs. 

For the past eight years, Irfan Younas has been providing strategic leadership and oversight of EAI’s Pakistan Country Office where he represents EAI Pakistan with donors, partners, and local communities and leads the development of unique and culturally relevant social behavior change communications and content strategies focused on peace-building and conflict mitigation. Under his leadership, EAI Pakistan has enjoyed some of its most successful peace-building outreach activities such as the first-of-its-kind journalist exchange program between India and Pakistan and many other activities promoting inter-faith social harmony through media and sports.

In addition to working with EAI, Younas is the founder of an ICT communication company called Kadam, a Board member for several local NGOs in KP, and across Pakistan and comes with knowledge of working with international organizations including Save the Children, Oxfam GB, STEP/UNICEF, USAID (on a project called “Nawae Sahar”) and others.
