Graham Couturier brings over 12 years of innovative program experience to his role as Executive Vice President. He has extensive experience implementing programs across Africa and South Asia and has led EAI's growth and geographic expansion strategy.
Graham Couturier is the Executive Vice President at EAI, where he has worked since 2012. In this capacity, he leads and oversees the organization’s $12+ million/year programming portfolio covering issues that include peacebuilding, countering violent extremism, governance, gender equality and women’s empowerment, youth engagement, and social and behavior change communications.
During his seven years at EAI, Graham has helped the organization more than double in size (both in annual revenue and the number of active country programs), while launching new country programs in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali, Nigeria, Kenya, and the Philippines. Graham employs the organization’s innovative approach combining media and communications with grassroots community outreach. He is responsible for driving program strategy and implementation, designing program content and approaches and supervising EAI’s Practice Area Directors.
Before joining EAI, Graham worked for Search for Common Ground for five years focusing on East, Southern, and West Africa. He has an MBA from the HEC-Paris School of Management and a Master of Arts in Law & Diplomacy (MALD) from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy (Tufts University).
