On March 7, 2016, AREWA24’s weekly soap opera Dadin Kowa won the prestigious Viewers’ Choice Award from Africa Magic/Multichoice-Nigeria for Best Indigenous Language Movie/TV Series – Hausa. Executive Producer Salisu Balarabe accepted the award on behalf of the writers, actors, and directors of Dadin Kowa, as well as the rest of the Equal Access-Nigeria staff.
