EAI is awarded $19.5 million by USAID to counter violent extremism in Côte d’Ivoire

EAI is strengthening community resilience, particularly for youth and women, to counter violent extremism in Côte d'Ivoire's northern border areas.

A Project of
Resilience for Peace (R4P) in Côte d'Ivoire

In the wake of the June 11, 2020 attack, Cote d’Ivoire became the latest country targeted violent extremist organizations who are steadily expanding across West Africa. To respond to this attack and, more broadly, the current violent extremism dynamics across the northern border communities in the region, EAI and partners NORC and INDIGO will lead Resilience for Peace (R4P), a comprehensive five-year intervention aimed at strengthening community resilience and learning to counter violent extremism in this region.
